Bringing out the best in your dog...
If you have a new puppy and really want to start off on the right path, to help avoid problems developing in the future, or if you're struggling with problem behaviours in your dog and need some help to get back on track, you're in the right place!
I'm passionate about helping dogs and their people share happy lives together because, let's be honest, if you have a dog, it's important that they are a contented, well-mannered member of the family. Using kind, compassionate and scientifically proven methods, I will show you how to bring the best out in your dog and build a great relationship with them, so that having a dog in your life is the joy that it should be. |
Gun dogs breeds (eg. labradors, spaniels, pointers) and gun dog mixes (eg. cockapoos, labradoodles) living in pet homes are a particular speciality of mine.... however, I have extensive experience of working with many hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes over the years - you can see a few examples on my testimonials page.
My formal qualifications and professional accreditations are testament to my knowledge, skills and understanding in the field of canine behaviour. Of equal importance, is my friendly and pragmatic approach: I take great pride in my client feedback and the lives I have changed over the years. |

Don't just take my word for it...
After 5 months of training elsewhere, my decision to approach you was the best I ever made! Tango is now a joy to be with and it has all been accomplished in a kind, compassionate and humane way. |
Your advice and support has been invaluable. Your guidance in reading Dingo's behaviour has been a real turning point; and the key to unlocking her potential... and mine! You've given me the skills to help Dingo be a fantastic dog!! |
I am so happy that we found Gretta! I love that the essence of her approach is building trust and a bond with your puppy. As a result, Yogi is growing into a lovely, well adjusted and well behaved dog. |
Gretta was recommended by our vets. She identified the events in our routine that led to our puppy biting and gave us some great tips, which worked a treat. As well as being lovely, Gretta packs a lot into each session and we found this invaluable. |
Gretta's knowledge and experience is genuinely in a different league to most other dog trainers. Everything is explained so clearly and Gretta is lovely and encouraging. |
My sheepdog puppy was chasing my cats and it was driving me mad! Gretta showed me how to use positive approaches to help guide her behaviour. Now, both she and the cats even sit together on the sofa! |
Thank you so much for your help as, without it, we may have had to send Kheera back to the rescue charity but we can’t imagine life without her now. |
Amazing! After each of the puppy sessions, we felt more confident. The fact that the whole family was involved was great. It's been a great start for a happy, confident and well-behaved dog. |
Gretta was fab! I loved her sense of humour, tolerance, patience and the fact that I didn't feel judged. I loved learning the small steps to achieve a goal. |
