ABOUT GRETTA FORD, CCAB
Helping dogs and the people who love them… with kindness and expertise.
You’re probably here because…
You love your dog and want to give them the best start (puppy parents, I see you!) … or because something’s not quite right and you’re ready to turn things around (no judgement here, behaviour support seekers).
You might be thinking:
If only I understood what they’re really trying to tell me…
If only I could stop things before they snowball…
If only I could turn back the clock…
If only I knew what to do next and felt confident doing it…
Life would feel so much easier - for both of you.
I understand… and I can help.
Support from someone who gets it!
It was my own experience of feeling stuck and worried about my dog that led me to leave teaching and retrain as a behaviourist. Since then, I’ve:
Earned a distinction in my postgraduate qualification in clinical animal behaviour
Worked with hundreds of dogs and their brilliant “owners”
Gained respected, world-class accreditations
Lectured at the University of Edinburgh’s Vet School
Had my research published in a peer-reviewed journal
But I’ve never forgotten what it feels like to be unsure, overwhelmed or out of your depth. Whether your dog is just starting out or struggling with more serious challenges… I see you. I’ve been there.
So if you’re ready to build a better relationship with your dog — with someone who understands both ends of the lead — I’d love to help.

“Gretta’s approach was everything I hoped for and more!”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Gretta regarding my anxious cocker spaniel, Harris, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
As a vet with over 10 years of experience, I’m very aware of the importance of behavioural health—but this experience was a powerful reminder of just how critical it is to seek support from someone with specialist training in behaviour.
Gretta's approach was everything I had hoped for and more—she was incredibly accommodating, gentle, and thoughtful throughout. Her ability to understand Harris’s anxiety and tailor her advice in a way that was both practical and sympathetic made all the difference.
She brings not only a wealth of qualifications and experience but also a genuine warmth and patience that helped both Harris and me feel at ease.
What really stood out was how thorough and clear her guidance was. The strategies she recommended were achievable and evidence-based, and they’ve already made a hugely meaningful difference in Harris’s day-to-day confidence.
I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone facing behavioural challenges with their dog to reach out to a qualified behaviourist—and I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Gretta.”
